Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) Valley Division office, the services described herein: furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Concrete Expansion Joint Replacement Services. 1. Remove existing expansion and contraction joints surrounding the facility. 2. Install new expansion and contraction joint material similar to existing. 3. Do not proceed with installation of joint sealants under the following conditions: a. When ambient and substrate temperature conditions are outside limits permitted by joint sealant manufacturer. b. When joint substrates are wet. 4. Do not proceed with installation of joint sealants where joint widths are less than that allowed by joint sealant manufacturer for application indicated. 5. Do not proceed with installation of joint sealants until contaminants capable of interfering with their adhesion are removed from joint substrates.
