Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP), the services described herein: furnish all labor, tools, materials, labor equipment (including hoses, heavy duty mechanical broom street sweeper), protective clothing, insurance, transportation, licenses or permits necessary to perform all work as described herein, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Monthly Parking Lot Sweeping Services at Santa Nella Platform Scales Northbound and Southbound I-5. A. Contractor shall ensure that all debris is removed from the premises including the refuse and debris that may accumulate around the building and in the parking lot and roadway lanes. B. Contractor shall provide services once every four weeks. C. All service shall be performed by trained, competent workers. D. All work found unsatisfactory shall be redone before the next scheduled service at no additional cost to the State. E. Contractor must respond to all call-outs and recalls within 12 hours after notification from the Santa Nella Platform Scales Supervisor or the Facilities Section Coordinator. After two (2) recalls for unsatisfactory work, the State reserves the right to terminate the agreement. F. No extra charge for any work or material will be allowed unless the same has been ordered in writing by the Santa Nella Platform Scales Supervisor or the Facilities Section Coordinator. G. All quotations for additional services not covered under this agreement are to be provided at no cost to the State by the Contractor. H. Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to protect service locations. Any damage caused by the Contractor to state equipment, materials, or other priority shall be repaired or replaced by Contractor to the satisfaction of the State at no cost to the State. The State may, at its option, repair any damage and deduct from Contractor the cost thereof.
