Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Vermont (SOV) Office of Purchasing & Contracting is soliciting proposals from infant formula manufacturers for the purpose of establishing a purchasing agreement to provide milk-based and soy-based iron-fortified infant formula for the Vermont Department of Health WIC Program (VDH) in three (3) forms: liquid concentrate, powder, andready-to-feed. The VDH is seeking to maximize the number of WIC participants served with available federal funds by establishing a contract whereby the Contractor rebates part of the cost of infant formula provided under the WIC Program. The selected manufacturer will be required to supply its contracted brand infant formula to WIC authorized vendors located throughout Vermont, and provide a rebate to the WIC Program for each container of their contracted brand infant formula purchased from WIC authorized vendors by WIC participants. The WIC Program reimburses the WIC authorized vendors for each container of contracted brand infant formula purchased by WIC participants. SOV WIC is thereby requesting rebates on non-exempt infant formulas offered to WIC participants to reduce program costs.
