Specifications include, but are not limited to: develop and facilitate Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy (NDSRCL) Early Childhood Literacy Education Professional Development opportunities for 15 school districts and community partners. The contracted entity will propose a yearly Early Childhood Literacy Education Professional Development plan for three years within the first month of the contract. The proposal is subject to review by the NDSRCL State Team before implementation of professional development can occur. The State is seeking professional development created for, and delivered to, awarded school districts and community partners serving Birth to Age 5 children to implement the funded literacy strategies and initiatives in the following areas: Early Childhood Literacy Transitions: Birth – Age 3 and Pre-kindergarten – Kindergarten Assessment & Data-Informed Decision Making in Early Childhood Literacy Instruction Evidence-Based Instructional Practices for Early Learning Continuous Improvement Performance Planning for Early Learning.
