Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor agrees to provide to Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP), all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to provide Out-Service Training courses in aviation safety and the Safety Management System (SMS) to CHP managers, supervisors, and air operations personnel. A. Safety Management Systems Course covers all aspects of the safety management system to include the fundamentals in system organization, methodology, principles of risk management, and safety assurance to assist safety managers, supervisors, safety officers, and line personnel. B. Aircraft Accident Investigation Course covers familiarizing students with the regulatory requirements for investigation and reporting of aircraft accidents based on National Transportation Safety Board and the International Civil Aviation Organization procedures and that covers all aspects of the investigation process. C. Human Factors in Aviation Safety Course covers how human factors affect performance in aviation and ways to reduce or mitigate the affects. D. Human Factors in Aviation Maintenance Course covers knowledge and understanding of human factors in the realm of aviation safety relative to maintenance.
