Specifications include, but are not limited to: Construction shall consist of replacement of the chilled water air handlers, chilled water pumps, and the building automation in their entirety that serves the Arts and Humanities Building. New variable frequency drives on the air handlers and chilled water pumps and respective controls to improve the overall efficiency of the system. New VAV boxes will allow for specific space temperature control. The existing boiler and hydronic heating system will be removed and replaced with electric heat at the VAV boxes or duct heaters for single zone air handlers. Ventilation will be reintroduced to maintain a positive building pressure as well as comply with indoor air quality. The main electrical switch board will be replaced in its entirety. Lighting control will be added to specific areas of the building. New electrical panels will be added to support the new electric heat at the VAV boxes. A new utility transformer will also be installed for the increased building load.
