Specifications include, but are not limited to: The prioritization of brownfield sites, completion of environmental Phase I and Phase II site assessments, including quality assurance project plan development, groundwater and soil sampling, evaluation of building contaminants including asbestos, lead paint and PCBs. Additional tasks include developing remediation strategies and cost estimates, Corrective Action Plans, and providing public outreach and education about health or environmental hazards associated with brownfields and/or the redevelopment potential associated with specific sites. Consultants will participate in all these tasks except for the prioritization of sites, which will be conducted by the Town together with the SWCRPC Brownfields Steering Committee.
