Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work for this project will include the renovation of the existing Vocational building into a Culinary Arts building. The existing Vocational building is an auto body shop and is located on side one of the campus to the south of the warehouse and west of the back entrance. The existing buildings interior square footage will not change. This scope of work will involve the removal of some but not all of the plumbing, natural gas, and electrical lines and equipment as shown on the plans. Additionally, a set of plywood cabinets, a natural gas heater, eye-wash station, and an air compressor concrete pad shall be removed. To be installed will be a new suspended ceiling with recessed lighting fixtures, rerouting and sleeving of the natural gas lines, installation of new electrical and hot water/cold water lines, engaging a fire sprinkler subconsultant to install new fire sprinklers, installing a Bard HVAC unit, installing washer/drying connections, installing covers over existing louvers, and coordinating the connection of owner-supplied culinary equipment. The current existing garage door will need to be coiled up and left in place. The space where the garage door was will need to be infilled as shown on the plans and an opening for the Bard HVAC unit shall be made. The contractor is required to provide labor and materials to make all necessary improvements. The contractor is expected to provide his own liability insurance.
