Specifications include, but are not limited to: The NCC Crisis Assessment Center program shall provide 24/7 screening, assessment, crisis stabilization, and discharge planning/referral services to people experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The NCC CAC staff will admit, screen, orient, assess, treat, refer, and link individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis while assuring that the services they receive are the most appropriate and least restrictive for the individual served and that the individual is included in all decisions to the greatest extent possible.The provider shall operate a 24/7 Crisis Assessment Center (CAC) in NCC. 24/7 Services shall include: 1. Screening, triage, and assessment of all individuals, presenting for service1) to identify the causal factors leading to the crisis situation 2) how best to effectively and efficiently resolve the crisis in a manner that directly involves the individual and their family/friends if possible 3) is focused on meeting the individual's needs in the most recovery oriented manner possible and, 4) that leads to successful resolution using the least restrictive services and supports available. 2. Provision of a safe environment that reduces any risks for persons experiencing suicidal or homicidal or assaultive ideation or behaviors to include appropriate and respectful body and belonging searches to reduce access to weapons, intoxicating substances, fire setting tools or any other belongings that may need to be restricted due to documented reasons with clear rationale.
