Specifications include, but are not limited to: construction of a 4 million gallon per day surface water treatment plant and instream diversion and their related facilities. The diversion is a concrete infiltration type diversion seated in the streambed and includes a raw water pump station that pumps raw water to the treatment plant. The diversion includes grading; roadway surfacing; drainage; landscaping; bank stabilization; concrete and concrete form work; piping; manholes; pumps; electrical systems; instrumentation; mechanical systems; plumbing systems; and other systems as required. The treatment process will be a packaged conventional filtration treatment system, ultraviolet disinfection, and sodium hypochlorite disinfection. The treatment facility will include grading; roadway surfacing; drainage; buildings and architectural systems; landscaping; piping systems; electrical systems; mechanical systems; chemical storage and dosing systems; instrumentation; water treatment systems and equipment; plumbing systems; concrete and concrete form work; soil stabilization; fencing and gates; pumping systems; solids decanting systems; wastewater pump station; and other systems as required. The new WTP finish water will be conveyed in a new 14-inch transmission main and connect in to an existing 14-inch main approximately 3300 LF to the west. New Air/Vac valves will be installed on the existing 14-inch main.
