Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide all labor and materials needed to install two (2) new fan coil units in the northwest exterior archives area of the second floor. The purpose for the replacement of the existing mixing boxes is to achieve proper climate control of this area and allow the HVAC to reduce the humidity level to a maximum humidity set-point. The existing mixing box HVAC system will not operate in the proper sequence to allow enough dehumidification for the paper archives stored in this area. The maximum humidity level cannot be controlled with the existing system. The 3 existing mixing boxes that serve this area will be removed and the duct supplies from the main air handler unit will be capped. New fan coils will be selected based on air movement of the original cooling design as shown on sheet M-8 of Kent, Marsellos Architects, and Scott Engineers as-built drawing dated 9-13-73. All fan coils installed above the ceiling area will be equipped with an emergency drain pan and a high water sensor. These sensors will be tied into the Siemens building management system as an alarmed point. The new fan coil units will be equipped with chilled water coils and the hot water coils will be installed in the reheat position.
