Specifications include, but are not limited to: To provide qualified low-income homeowners within the city limits of Dallas 1) repairs and/or replacement of major systems in their homes 2) repairs to major systems that have been determined to be an immediate threat to the life, health, or safety of the resident(s) and 3) interim controls of lead based paint when applicable, and 4) reconstruction of single-family homes on the homeowners lot subject to City Council approval. Systems available for repair or replacement are electric, gas, water, wastewater, HVAC and roof. Installation is to include 200 amp service panel, meter box, service mast, mast head ,etc. and sealing of all holes and penetrations such as flashing and sealant. Installation will include re-connection fee. Permit must reflex the actual work being performed such as electrical panel (service upgrade, etc.). These can be indicated under the notes section on the online application. All materials and/or equipment demolished or repaired are considered salvage and belong to the homeowner for use or disposal unless the homeowner relinquishes salvage rights to the contractor. To include all circuits for all existing appliances, fixtures, each window unit, exterior fixtures and appliances and the upgrade of appliance supply cords if applicable. Scope of work includes replacement of breakers, wire, boxes, outlets, cover plates, light switches, interior light fixtures and 2 attached exterior security light fixtures, GFI outlets, smoke detectors, door bell, to include the installation of 2 motion security lights and removal of all old wiring and devices. All materials and/or equipment demolished or repaired are considered salvage and belong to the homeowner for use or disposal unless the homeowner relinquishes salvage rights to the contractor (Contractors Bid Accordingly). The contractor must remove all unwanted material and debris. All work must meet current NEC Code and Local requirements - green tag required. Permit must reflex the actual work being performed such as re-wire. These can be indicated under the notes section on the online application.
