Specifications include, but are not limited to:. Proctor Quadrangle Mapping: The study area, located in Rutland County, Vermont, is ~ 25 square miles (Figure 1). The goal is to produce a surficial geologic map, a cross-section, and groundwater resources maps at a scale of 1: 24,000. All maps will be produced in ArcGIS and exported as pdfs. Geographic information system (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present spatial or geographic data. Files will be delivered as shapefiles using the database format of the State of Vermont. Examples of the GIS database may be viewed on-line at: http://geodata.vermont.gov/#data . Groundwater resource maps and shapefiles will include: depth to bedrock, water well location map, and recharge potential to shallow and deep aquifers and any recommendations for future public water supplies.
