DEC seeks proposals for the following:1)Richmond Quadrangle Mapping: The study area, located in Chittenden County, Vermont, is ~ 50 square miles (Figure 1). The goal is to produce a surficial geologic map, a cross-section, and groundwater resources maps at a scale of 1: 24,000. All maps will be produced in ArcGIS and exported as pdfs. Files will be delivered as shapefiles using the database format of the State of Vermont. Examples of the GIS database may be viewed on-line at: http://geodata.vermont.gov/#data . Groundwater resource maps and shapefiles will include: depth to bedrock, water well location map, and recharge potential to shallow and deep aquifers and any recommendations for future public water supplies. The town of Bolton is specifically interested in surficial mapping that will serve as basic information to apply towards planning for groundwater supply and protection.
