Specifications include, but are not limited to: In the interest of environmental mitigation, the Town of Bridport, with federal Transportation funding through the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans), is seeking engineering services for a project to replace a deteriorating corrugated metal pipe squash type culvert with a precast concrete box culvert. The culvert is located approximately 700 feet north of address 2666 Basin Harbor Road, TH 17, Bridport, Vermont. The West Branch of the Dead Creek flows north/northeast through the culvert, draining to Otter Creek, which empties into Lake Champlain. The culvert is listed in poor condition, with signs of deterioration. The culvert restricts flow, sometimes causing water to reach the base of the road, and causing some upstream and downstream erosion.
