Specifications include, but are not limited to: Interior/Console Unarmed Security Guard (SG2) Regular Hours Interior/Console Unarmed Security Guard (SG2) Holiday Hours Unarmed Security Guard Supervisor (SGS) Regular Hours Supervisor. 1) Day-to-day supervision shall be accomplished by four (4) classifications of supervision: Security Guard Supervisor (SGS), Security Guard Manager (SGM), Contract Guard Supervisor (CGS) and Security Contractor Area Manager (SCAM). Security Guard 2 duties shall include: A. Monitor the entry and exit of Caltrans Personnel and the public at the facility located in Item 3 above. This will include inspecting Caltrans identification (ID) cards and registering guests and Caltrans employees that do not have Caltrans ID in their possession. B. Prepare visitor’s badges as necessary to process the visitors into the Caltrans facility as quickly as possible. For groups of visitors larger than (10) and with prior notification from the Caltrans Contract Manager or designee, the SG2 may direct these visitors to their meeting location(s) after they have been identified and processed. C. Interact with the public to answer routine questions. D. Inspecting Caltrans Facilities to ensure doors, windows, and roofs are secure and lights are turned off to unoccupied facility areas when applicable. E. Protect Caltrans property and prevent theft by physical presence while making security checks throughout Caltrans facilities. F. Monitor equipment and property being removed or brought into the building and ensure that all equipment/property movement is Caltrans sanctioned by Caltrans Contract Manager or designee and/or District 4 Facilities Management. G. Respond to emergency calls from the elevator phones and emergency garage call boxes. H. Report unusual conditions to the proper State personnel, including California Highway Patrol (CHP) and/or local fire and police departments, and provide any necessary and/or required information. This includes making calls to emergency personnel in the event of fire, medical, or other emergencies.
