Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project involves designing and constructing an approximately 62,000 square foot Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS) facility along with multiple support buildings and extensive sitework. CSMS serves as a vehicle service and repair facility and includes welding bay, paint bay, seven other general purpose bays, training room, physical fitness and locker rooms and administrative and support spaces. This facility will replace the existing facilities on the site, which, if funding exists, will be demolished as part of this project (approximately 93,000 square foot of demolition possible.) Sitework includes new entrance off River Road (Route 9,) new access control point, concrete paving (approximately 18,000 square yards,) asphalt paving (approximately 1,800 square yards,) fencing (approximately 1,500 linear feet,) and associated sidewalks and curbing. The new facility is to be designed and built to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
