Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Contractor shall check-in with the Facility Supervisor upon each service call to provide verification the service has been provided. b. Contractor shall comply with requirements of the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS} in that a wheelchair accessible portable toilet unit shall be placed on-site at each location. c. Contractor shall provide the portable chemical toilets, all necessary chemicals and servicing to ensure they are clean and serviceable, which shall include pumping out of the modular trailer holding tank once a month. d. Servicing of portable toilets shall be performed three (3) times per week. e. All quotations for additional services not covered under this agreement are to be provided to the state at no cost byContractor. f. Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to protect service locations. Any damage caused by Contractor to state equipment, materials, or other priority shall be repaired by Contractor to the satisfaction of the state at no cost to the state. The state may, at its option, repair any damage and deduct from Contractor the cost thereof. g. Contractor shall remove and dispose of all debris created during performance of services. h. State shall not be liable for any damage incurred to the toilets while placed on state property. If any intentional or unintentional damage should occur to the toilets, it is the Contractor's responsibility to replace or repair the toilet at no cost to the .state. i. A service request requires a response by Contractor within twenty-four (24) hours to the appropriate location. 6. Portable Toilet Unit Requirements a. Contractor shall provide 1 ADA Portable Toilet Unit complying with requirements specified herein. 1. Contractor shall adjust grab bars upon delivery and at each service visit. 2. Contractor shall adjust door closers (if provided) upon delivery and at each service visit. 3. Sweep period from an open position of 70-degrees shall be no less than 3-seconds to move to a point of 3-inches from latch, measured to leading edge of door. (CBC 1133B.2.5.1) 4. Contractor shall locate and secure Portable Toilet Unit(s) as directed by CHP Facilities. b. DOOR 1. 3’-0” minimum width by 6’-8” minimum height. (CBC 1133B.2.2) 2. Shall be capable of opening at least 90-degrees with a minimum clear width of 32-inches for exit way. (ADA 404.2.3 and CBC 1133B.2.2) 3. Shall be lockable and operable with one hand requiring no tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. (ADA 309.4 and CBC 1008.1.9.1) 4. Door opening hardware shall be centered between 34-inches and 48-inches above finished floor. (ADA 404.2.7 and CBC 1008.1.9.2) 5. Force to activate door hardware shall not exceed 5 lbs. (ADA 309.4 and CBC 1008.1.3) 6. Bottom of door shall have a 10-inch high smooth, uninterrupted surface the full width of push side of door. Any cavities created by adding kick plates shall be capped. (ADA 404.2.10 and CBC1133B.2.6) 7. Door shall swing outward. 8. Raised threshold and floor level changes greater than ¼-inch shall be beveled with a slope no greater than 1:2. (CBC 1008.1.7 and CBC 1133B.2.4.1) 9. Provide 60-inches clear perpendicular to pull side of door the full width of door plus 18- inch extension at latch side. (ADA 404.2.4.1 and ADA 404.2.4 and CBC 1133B.2.4.2 and CBC 1133B.2.4.3) 10. Provide 18-inches clear at latch side of door the full width of door. (ADA 404.2.4.1 and ADA 404.2.4 and CBC 1133B.2.4.3)
