The purpose of this RFQ is to acquire the services of a pool of expert consultants to assist the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Division of Early Childhood (DEC) in leading a comprehensive review and alignment of early childhood curriculum used throughout Maryland mixeddelivery system. This shall be done in alignment with MSDE HQIM framework and review process. Consultants will conduct an evaluation of selected published early childhood curriculum that will include standards-alignment, knowledge building, support for children who speak multiple languages, content that reflects children’s backgrounds and experiences, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) review of instructional design, developmental appropriateness, and opportunities for family engagement. At the conclusion, the review provides recommendations for approval or rejection.
