The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is soliciting quotes from qualified vendors for the purchase of two (2) Theia3D Markerless Motion Capture System lifetime licenses. The stated name, make and model is for the purpose of describing the standard of quality, performance and characteristics desired. It is not intended to restrict competition but solely to indicate type and quality desired. MUSC will be the sole determiner of whether an item is equivalent. If Offeror is submitting a bid for a product other than that stated, complete specifications must be included with the bid submission. Vendors are encouraged to notify the procurement officer immediately if they feel any of these specifications unduly restricts competition. The software must include and be able to: The required system must be a markerless motion capture solution capable of extracting accurate three-dimensional pose and biomechanical data from synchronized multi-camera video using advanced machine learning methods. The system must eliminate the need for physical markers, manual participant preparation, and model calibration, as these steps are impractical for use with neurologically impaired populations who exhibit variable motor control and movement patterns. The system must support naturalistic movement capture in environments that closely resemble real-life conditions, thereby improving ecological validity while maintaining research-grade data quality. Accuracy and precision must be demonstrated through extensive validation and use in peer-reviewed research, ensuring suitability for high-quality biomechanical analysis in a laboratory setting. Required system capabilities include: Markerless 3D motion capture from multi-camera video streams High-precision, research-grade biomechanical output suitable for quantitative analysis Proven validation in peer-reviewed scientific literature Compatibility with commercially available motion capture and data processing workflows Flexibility to operate with cameras from multiple manufacturers, allowing future expansion and customization Features setup and configuration requirements designed to support rapid deployment in laboratory environments Alternative systems that rely on markers, or require extensive custom development and integration will not be accepted.
