A. Quarterly services to five (5) commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hood Systems ASSOCIATED WITH THE EQUIPMENT SPECIFIED IN Exhibit A, Scope of Work, Paragraph 2 above. 1. The contractor shall clean the five (5) commercial kitchen Exhaust Hood Systems and associated equipment to include duct hood fans, fans, fan housing, ductwork 2. The contractor shall pressure wash all hood vents filters, component grease traps, and troughs by removing all foreign materials such as dirt and grease and polish all stainless steel associated with the Hood vent system including all stainless-steel back wall flashing 3. The hoods, hood vent filters, ductwork, stainless steel, equipment, and exhaust systems as serviced by the Contractor shall be considered clean if there are no visible accumulation of dirt and grease as determined by the Contract Manager 4. The Contractor shall ensure all electrical switches that could be activated or locked out and that components of the fire suppression system shall not be rendered inoperable during the cleaning process. 5. All chemicals used by the Contractor to perform cleaning tasks shall be food grade safe, non-toxic and eco-friendly. Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used to clean will be provided to the Contract Manager upon the award of the contract. 6. All food items (prepackaged beverages prepackaged foods etc.) must either be moved by the Contractor to a protected area or be adequately covered by the Contractor to ensure against contamination because of Exhaust Hood cleaning and maintenance. All food cooking equipment such as pots, pans, and cooking utensils, steam tables, service areas shall also be adequately protected by the Contractor and or covered to avoid contamination during Exhaust Hood cleaning process. 7. Contractor shall coordinate with the Contract Manager and provide services at agreedupon dates and times to prevent any interruption of services. In the event the Redding Veterans Home needs to adjust the schedule date or time of service due to operational need the Contract Manager will notify the Contractor as soon as the need is apparent. Dates and times will be determined and coordinated by the Contract Manager and will be communicated to the Contractor prior to the actual service being performed. 8. Contractor shall be always accompanied by a home representative when in the facility. Contractor shall arrive at the facility with ample time to sign in with security, receive an escort and be prepared to start cleaning services at the agreed-upon time in each service location.
