(2) Basketball Courts and (2) Volleyball Courts. • Sand floor down to bare wood to remove old finish and paint and achieve a smooth and level surface. • Repair or replace any loose or damage boards, fill cracks and gaps with wood fillers if needed. • Apply two coats of specialized gym floor sealer to protect wood from moisture and provide a base for the finish. • Paint new game lines and court markings. (2) Basketball Courts and (2) Volleyball Courts. • Apply two to three coats of high-durability gym floor finish/polyurethane, each coat should be lightly buffed to ensure the next coat adheres properly. • Use plastic sheeting to manage high volume dust areas. • Contractors’ responsibility to remove baseboards and thresholds and re-install if necessary
