PURCHASE DESCRIPTION/SCOPE OF SUPPLIES/SERVICE • The work under this contract includes and is limited to providing labor, materials and equipment to: ● Remove the existing 2 Weil McLain cast iron boilers at Forestdale and Oak Ridge Elementary (4 boilers total) ● Remove the existing chimney stacks at both Forestdale and Oak Ridge Elementary (2 chimney stacks total) ● Supply and install 2 new Weil McLain H-1688-W cast iron hot water boilers with Power Flame burners model number CR3-GO-25BHTD at both Forestdale and Oak Ridge Elementary (4 boilers total) ● Install a Metal Fab stainless steel PIC venting system with 16" lateral breeching to join a 22" common vent at both Forestdale and Oak Ridge Elementary (2 chimney stacks total) ● Include any site work and restoration to the properties to fix or repair damage done to the buildings when removing and installing the new boilers and chimney stacks ● New Boilers will be a like in kind replacement to the current size at each school ● INSTALLATION SPECIFICS A. The existing boilers and associated natural gas trains, including all related obsolete equipment and controls, will be completely removed. All debris will be removed from the boiler room and disposed of properly. B. Vendor will furnish all labor and materials to block the new sectional Weil McLain boilers. C. Vendor will furnish and install the required hydronic piping to connect the existing piping to the new boilers. D. All copper piping will be fitted with Pro Press valves and fittings. All steel piping will be performed with Mega Press or Victaulic valves and fittings. E. All new piping will be insulated with 1" fiberglass insulation. All insulation will be covered with A.S.J. (all service jacket), and all fittings will be covered with Zeston coverings. F. Vendor will furnish and install all the required material to connect the existing flue breeching for the installation. ● Vendor is responsible for permit process through the Town of Sandwich Building Department ● Vendor to include a 1 year labor warranty including 24 hour response for the first year of service
