The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit responses from qualified firms to publish and distribute the “Fresh From Florida” magazine for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Marketing and Development (FDACS or Department) at no cost to the Department. The Department seeks to establish a Contract with a Vendor to provide a high-quality print magazine with original photography and newsworthy articles. This consumer-facing magazine must be distributed in print and located on a digital platform. The focus of the magazine is on Florida agriculture featuring profiles of Florida farmers, cooking with Florida commodities, articles about leading industry sectors, and statistical information about the state’s agriculture industry. The result should be a publication that actively raises the level of public awareness of the “Fresh From Florida” brand to increase support of local farms and Florida agriculture. The Department shall retain complete ownership and copyrights for reproduction purposes of all articles, photography and images produced for this project, including any production material not used in the final product. The Department retains the right of approval for all aspects of the publication, including but not limited to, magazine design, layout, content, acceptable or prohibited advertisements and distribution. The Department will provide leads and information for content. The Department shall not incur any fees for the production and delivery of the “Fresh From Florida” magazine as detailed in this RFP. All fees necessary to produce and distribute the final approved “Fresh From Florida” magazine will be derived from advertising income earned by the successful vendor.
