3. CEMENT The cement used in the work shall meet all the respective requirements of the current standard test specification of the American Society for Testing and Materials. Fly ash, if used, shall comply with Sections 605 and 753 of the SDDOT “Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges”. The Engineer expressly reserves the right to test any and all cement brought upon the work and to reject any that does not prove of a suitable or satisfactory quality. 4. FINE AGGREGATE Fine aggregate shall consist of natural sand of hard durable character. It shall be clean, washed, and free from all vegetable or deleterious matter and shall pass all tests and requirements of the SDDOT for sand used in Class A Concrete.
