The selected Proposer will provide services consisting of, but not limited to, the following: Production of a variety of assets that promote healthy eating behaviors. They should be easily implemented by internal and external partners and offered as a “toolkit.” Assets would include digital assets that could be shared through social media and other channels (e.g. videos, graphics, audio recordings) and physical assets (e.g. brochures, leaflets, posters). Campaign Goals: A. Showcase low-cost, healthy recipes with the promotion of Food Hero resources located at foodhero.org. Food Hero (foodhero.org) provides SNAP-Ed participants with low-cost, healthy recipes, as well as monthly newsletters (“Food Hero Monthlies”) which contain information about preparing and storing different types of food to increase food resource management, promote healthy eating, and reduce nutrient inadequacies. Promoting Food Hero resources will be an important part of this project. B. Provide education on food preparation. C. Promote food resource management strategies. D. Reduce prevalence of nutrient inadequacies by increasing consumption of foods that are low-cost and high in nutrients of concern (aligned with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2020-2025) in the five food groups: fruit, vegetables, (especially red, orange, yellow and dark green), whole grains, lean protein, and dairy.
