This Request for Information (RFI) Notice of Intent to Designate Sole Source is to determine if the specified commodity or service is available from multiple providers, or if an alternate commodity or service is available that would meet the County’s needs. This is not a request for pricing or a purchase commitment. The following commodity or service is thought to be available from only a sole source and is the only commodity/services that meets the County’s needs: Sole Source Designation: Safe Port Terminals LLC Contractor shall design, install, test, and uninstall a radiation detection system (the “SPT Prototype”) at Port Everglades (the “Pilot Project”). The Pilot Project aims to provide supplemental inspections of primary radiological or nuclear materials and devices inside a container while addressing safety and security risks through advanced technology systems designed to deter terrorists. The Pilot Project will leverage advancements in sensors and computing to transmit data, analyses, and notifications, enhancing the effectiveness of securing Florida’s and other seaports against such risks.
