The scope of services follows. Note that modifications to better meet the project objectives are acceptable and will be evaluated in the firm’s project understanding and approach. 2.1. Survey: The Consultant must provide all necessary survey work for the completion of the project plans and specifications. This project excludes any right-of-way or easement acquisition. 2.2. Traffic Improvements 2.2.1. A recommendation for changes that can be made to improve congestion and safety at the W. Lane Ave and Tremont Rd. intersection. In 2020, it was recommended that the City add additional left turn lanes on W. Lane Ave. for drivers turning north or south onto Tremont Rd. This design may include this or other improvements to the intersection. 2.2.2. Analysis of the W. Lane Ave. corridor, between Tremont Rd. and Northwest Blvd., to determine the feasibility of improvements to slow traffic speeds and/or enhance vehicle and pedestrian safety. 2.3. Roadway Improvements 2.3.1. Between Northwest Blvd. and Tremont Rd. - Roadway construction plans for full reconstruction including new curb & gutter, new driveway aprons, and full depth reclamation of the existing asphalt roadway. 2.3.2. Between Tremont Rd. and Riverside Dr. – Roadway construction plans for the mill and overlay of the asphalt pavement and spot curb replacement. Pavement depth to be recommended by the consultant. 2.3.3. A crosswalk to be added on the east side of the Lane/Tremont intersection crossing W. Lane Ave. 2.3.4. Evaluate feasibility and design (if approved) for the replacement of 75-140’ sidewalk near 1855-1865 W. Lane Ave. to provide a new sidewalk with an adequate tree lawn. 2.4. Signal Improvements 2.4.1. No vehicular signal improvements are intended outside of changes required to accommodate the potential improvements at the Tremont/Lane intersection 2.4.2. Replacement of pedestrian pushbuttons at the below intersections with PROWAG compliant buttons: 2.4.2.1. Tremont Rd. 2.4.2.2. Coventry Rd. 2.4.2.3. Northwest Blvd.
