Scope of Work: The scope of work for this project is to perform a maintenance chip seal on 18 miles of Barnes County Highway 21 from City of Valley City Corporate Limits to ND Highway 26 Right-of-Way: The standard Right-ofWay on this project is a maximum of 75 feet, and the minimum is 35 feet on each side of the roadway centerline. All work on this project shall be performed within these limits, and the contractor shall exercise care not to damage or intrude upon adjacent privately-owned property. The contractor shall provide at his own expense and without liability to the County any additional land that the contractor may deem necessary for the storage of materials or other purposes during his construction operations. Work on this project, when started, shall be performed in a continuous manner from start to completion consistent with the standard workweek, holiday exceptions, or weather limitations. The contractor shall contact the appropriate State, County, City, Township, or political subdivision to determine if the proposed haul route has local road restrictions or is designated as a “No Haul Route” prior to preparing a bid for this project.
