The Contractor will be required to cut down and remove trees at the project locations, which are marked with pink paint/ribbon and/or are reflected on project plan sheets. This work is to be completed as soon as possible after award. Trees are to be cut down 2-foot or less from ground level. Stump grinding is not required. The trees and all brush become the property of the contractor and must be removed from state right of way after cutting. No trees or branches are to be left at the job sites. A chipper may be used, and chips may be spread evenly over the right of way, but any large pieces or excess chips not able to spread evenly over the right of way must also be removed from the job sites. Some tree clearing is behind fencing. The Contractor must not disturb any existing fencing during tree removal operations.
