1. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, transportation, and equipment necessary for the services outlined in these specifications. All contractor employees shall be easily identifiable while in the performance of this contract. Shirts, jackets or reflective safety vests displaying the company name in an easily readable font are acceptable. 2. Bidder will be responsible for weed and grass (as defined in Chapter 1802.02) cutting on all parcels of land defined in option A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, L1, L2, and L3 specifications. Bids for the specified parcel maintenance contract shall include: --a per round charge for cutting the maximum square footage stated for the specified parcel list. Bidder will be paid the amount of their submitted bid for each completed cutting of all properties within the specified parcel list. NOTE: It is the responsibility of the contractor to remove incidental trash (defined as up to one cubic yard of loose or scattered trash or brush including tires) on the property prior to mowing. Any trash removal incidental to weed and grass cutting will not be reimbursed by the City. Substantial trash will be managed as a separate work order as determined in each case by the Property Maintenance Code Inspector. The contractor’s square foot bid should be calculated bearing in mind this requirement. 3. Bidder is to provide up to eight (8) cuttings of the parcels being maintained on the specified parcel list during the period of April 2026 to October 31, 2027, as may be directed by the Department of Housing & Neighborhoods. Bidder will be paid the amount of their submitted bid for each completed cutting of all properties within the specified parcel list. 4. The Property Maintenance Code Inspector will verify the need for mowing and, if determined necessary, authorize the contractor to proceed pursuant to the weed and grass specifications and provisions herein. Potential mowing start dates for 2026 are April 29, May 20, June 10, June 24, July 22, August 19, September 16 and October 14. Potential mowing dates for 2027 are April 28, May 19, June 9, June 23, July 21, August 18, September 15, and October 13. All dates are subject to change. 5. Each cutting (Option A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, L1, L2 & L3 shall be completed within seven (7) calendar days upon authorization to proceed from the Property Maintenance Code Inspector. Any trash removal incidental to mowing is the responsibility of the contractor, and costs therefore will not be paid or reimbursed by the City in addition to the weed and grass cutting payment. Contractors shall remove all grass/weed trimmings and other debris from all public right of ways (sidewalks & streets). Substantial trash will be managed as a separate work order and determined in each case by the Property Maintenance Code Inspector.
