The City of Los Angeles seeks to enhance operational efficiency and resource allocation across its departments. To achieve this, a productivity benchmark will be developed, focusing on employee time utilization and departmental output. This benchmark will serve as a foundational tool for identifying areas of improvement and informing strategic decisions regarding staffing, workflows, and resource deployment. The City of Los Angeles has identified the following departments for this initial benchmarking phase: Bureau of Engineering, Bureau of Sanitation, Bureau of Street Lighting, and Bureau of Street Services, Department of Transportation, General Services Department, Personnel Department, Community Investment for Families Department, and the Information Technology Agency.
