Code Ann. §11-35-1560 with Vendor for the following supplies, services, information technology, or construction: The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department (the "Department") is seeking a qualified architect to provide complete architectural/engineering services for the design and construction administration of the Holmesview Center located in Greenville, SC, under state project # H73-9631-TM. The Holmesview Center is a drug and alcohol treatment center that fire destroyed in November 2016. The Department constructed a new drug and alcohol treatment center in Florence, SC in 2017. The design of the Florence center successfully meets the programmatic needs and requirements of the Department for drug and alcohol treatment centers and is ideal for the Holmesview Center. Additionally, site adapting this design will save time and money, and restore these vital services to our state as quickly as possible. The Department is not aware of any other suitable design prepared to meet its special needs and requirements. Therefore, the Department intends to site-adapt the Florence center design for the Holmesview Center. The architect and architect's consultants for the Florence center own the license for this design. Therefore, the acquisition of the design is a sole source.
