This proposal outlines a plan for the use of JUUL settlement funds to support local organizations in their efforts to address tobacco use in youth and young adults, with a particular focus on commercial tobacco and vaping prevention, by providing grants to help in prevention or cessation. This initiative will focus on funding schools and community-based organizations to implement youth led and evidence-based practices for prevention and cessation, primarily targeting youth and high-risk populations. This approach ensures a broad reach while emphasizing evidence-based solutions and community engagement, with the goal of reducing tobacco-related harm in our local youth populations. This Request for Applications specifically requests proposals from programs or projects that address one or more of the following goals: • Promote health equity throughout Thurston County • Reduce vaping and tobacco use among youth and young adults • Promote smoke and vape-free homes • Increase quit attempts and long-term success rates, particularly among youth and pregnant individuals. • Minimize fetal nicotine exposure • Reduce second/third-hand smoke and vape exposure • Encourage responsible e-cigarette disposa
