Bidders will provide the following services as requested by the City Fleet Services Division: a) Collision repair for automobiles, SUV’s, vans, trucks, apparatus, and trailers. b) Refinishing and repainting of parts, components, and equipment The City estimates annual spending in the amount of $200,000 for these services. The City intends to make multiple awards for this bid. Multiple awards will not exceed the estimated annual spending. The City makes no guarantee of actual or minimum purchases during the term of this agreement. 2. Technical Information: 2.1. Quality of Work 2.1.1. Repair and refinishing work must meet an acceptable level in terms of cost, time, and workmanship as determined by Fleet Services Management. 2.1.2. Successful Bidder will repair City vehicles using the most current repair methods, equipment, parts, and materials. 2.1.3. A base/coat clear coat multi-stage paint process will be used in all instances, unless otherwise specified by Fleet Services Staff. 2.1.4. All paintwork will be guaranteed against fading, cracking, peeling, lifting, flaking, and discoloration for the life of the vehicle. 2.1.5. Failure to meet expectations, as determined by Fleet Services management, will be grounds for terminating contracts awarded for the Bid. 2.2. Turnaround Time: 2.2.1. Generally, work will be scheduled with 24-48 hours advance notice, and with reasonable time to complete the requested repairs. 2.2.2. Up to 60% of the work covered by this contract will be performed on emergency response vehicles. In these cases, little or no advance notice may be provided.
