Project includes the removal of eight air handling units and replacing them with six air handling units. Hot water heating piping will be modified to accommodate the AHU replacement. One condensing unit will be added for air conditioning of electrical education labs not previously cooled. An economizer relief fan will be added for the above-mentioned lab air handling unit. Louver openings in two penthouse walls will be modified to allow for removal and installation of the air handling units. Fire protection sprinkler system to be extended to provide coverage of the basement mechanical room. Existing pneumatic controls to be replaced with direct digital controls. Alternates include: Deduct Alt #1: Deduct the cost of removal of three existing air handling units and the replacement of these units with two new air handling units. This would include all of the related ductwork demolition and replacement, hydronic heating pipe demolition and replacement, controls and the addition of two reheat coils. Deduct all related electrical and architectural equipment, material, and labor. Deduct Alt #2: Deduct the cost of providing and installing condensing unit ACCU-1 and related line sets, deduct all related electrical equipment, material and labor.
