The Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department maintains 2 career stations (manned) and 9 volunteer stations (un-manned) within the consolidated government of Butte-Silver Bow, Montana. This project aims to install a fully NFPA-compliant fire station alerting system that provides: • Rapid, simultaneous, and stacked alerting • Automated voice dispatch and station-level TTS backup • Zoned alerting • Red LED bunkroom lighting for nighttime response • Integration with Motorola FLEX CAD • Redundant radio alerting capabilities • Remote/mobile alerting to personnel • Full centralized configuration, monitoring, and maintenance capabilities The system shall communicate via TCP/IP over Butte-Silver Bow’s Wide Area Network (WAN), optimizing POE-based low-voltage cabling. It must be designed for mission-critical fire/EMS alerting and future scalability. This project shall be completed in a manner commensurate with the intended application. Basic floor plans for both manned stations will be included at the end of this publication.
