The Contractor will provide well-drilling services to the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) at the St. John Recreation Complex in the Town of Cameron in Calhoun County, South Carolina. The contract calls for the construction of one monitoring well to a depth of approximately 765 feet. The Contractor is responsible for providing all necessary materials and for constructing, grouting, developing, and finishing the well. The well will be used by SCDES to monitor groundwater levels; consequently, no permanent pump will be installed in the well. 1. The Contractor shall supply personnel and drilling equipment to perform the work. 2. Mud rotary is the preferred drilling method for this project. 3. The drill rig, and all down-hole rods, bits, and tools shall be decontaminated off-site before drilling commences. 4. The drilling crew must wear proper personal protection equipment while at the drill site, including hard hats. 5. Work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. 6. The driller who is onsite shall be licensed by the State of South Carolina as a certified well driller. 7. All work shall conform to applicable State and local regulations regarding well drilling and installation. Specifically, the South Carolina Department Environmental Services (SCDES), South Carolina Well Standards R.61-71, effective May 27, 2016, will be followed. 8. All work must be completed by June 30, 2026. 9. All work must be performed during weekdays (Monday – Friday) during daylight hours. 10.
