NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Cowlitz County, Washington, will receive bids for furnishing to Cowlitz County, disposable polypropylene tube brushes and gutter brooms for tractor-mounted power brooms for the period of January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026. General Information; Approximately thirty (30) each 96" disposable polypropylene brushes wrapped around a hollow metal tube. Approximately sixty (60) segments Elgin Crosswind J Gutter Broom Segments (5 segments/broom pkg). No minimum or maximum quantities are guaranteed. Actual purchases will be made as needed by the County. Brush Construction; a. The crimped virgin polypropylene bristlesshall be 12" in length and have a nominal diameter of .078 x .109, UV resistant. b. The bristles shall be adjacent and centered over a continuous 1-1/2" metal strip and pressed into place with a high tensile strength wire then securely crimp-locked into position. The continuous bristle shall be radially wrapped along the length of the tube and securely welded at each end. c. The beginning and ending wrap shall be no further than 1/8" to 1/4" from the ends of the tube. d. The first and last 2 to 4 wraps shall be no more than 1/8" apart. e. The center wraps on the brushes shall have a minimum number of 10 wraps per foot. 3. Tube Construction; a. The steel tube shall be formed of 16-gauge steel. b. The inside diameter of the tube shall be approximately 8-1/2 inch diameter for 96” brooms.
