The selected experienced and qualified environmental or engineering Consultant(s) will be tasked to conduct the 2026 Local Watershed Sanitary Survey. Valley Water’s Water Quality Unit is requesting the submittal of a proposal for a consultant firm to prepare the 2026 Local Watershed Sanitary Survey for Valley Water’s four drinking water reservoirs: Anderson, Coyote, Calero, and Almaden. The 5-year reporting period covers from January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2025. The key objectives to be fulfilled by the Consultant are: A. Review the existing watershed sanitary surveys and source water assessments of the Valley Water’s drinking water reservoirs for baseline and historical reference. B. Compile and evaluate water quality and environmental data and determine watershed status and risk for contaminant impairment. C. Recommend source contaminant prevention, control, and best management practices for each source water reservoir watershed. D. Recommend management strategies for the local water sources to maintain high water quality and to prevent or reduce contaminant risks to our raw water distribution system.
