The lobbying firm shall advise, counsel, and represent the City of Bridgeport in pursuing and opposing legislative initiatives and grant applications and awards at the state level in Hartford, CT and regional offices. The firm shall assist the City in preparing its state legislative, executive, and administrative agendas and shall strategize with the City as requested. The firm shall identify topics and areas of need to state legislators serving the City, pertinent legislative leaders and committee chairs, and administrative officials. The firm shall perform ministerial and discretionary functions such as preparing letters and verbal and written testimony, arrange and schedule appointments, monitor legislative, executive, and administrative activity, and communicate effectively with the City and its elected and appointed officials and their staff, as well as those interest groups identified by the City as sharing specific interests with the City, all in furtherance of the City’s governmental agenda as determined by the City Administration.
