Anderson County School District Two is a SC Public School District with seven (7) instructional locations and a total enrollment of approximately +/- 3,300 students. The District also has one ancillary location, the Anderson County School District Two Administrative Office, which serves as the Hub of the District’s network. The District has established an IT Standard for Network Systems that utilizes Microsoft operating systems. The district has a satisfactory installed base that adheres to this IT Standard. The district will take this IT Standard into account as illustrated in the evaluation criteria on Page 25 of the RFP. Each location is connected via WAN and Internet access infrastructure provided by the SC DSIT. The District’s LAN/WAN environment is predominantly Ethernet/Fiber and the Network Server platform is predominantly Microsoft. NETWORK CABLING Vendor to provide district-wide cabling as needed to include the addition of low-voltage cabling runs on an as-needed basis within the Anderson County School District 2. The District can provide site maps and/or schedule site walk throughs to the rewarded contract vendor. The awarded contract shall be an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) “as-needed” service contract. Cabling Specifications Contractor shall provide cabling services including, but not limited to: • Installation of Cat6/Cat6A network cabling • Fiber optic installation and termination • Cable path installation: conduit, J-hooks, ladder rack • Patch panel installation • Testing and certification to current industry standards (TIA/EIA) • Removal or relocation of existing cabling and discard in accordance with environmental regulations • Documentation of all cabling installed (maps, labeling, test results) Cabling Standards/ Requirements • All cabling shall be installed in accordance with manufacturers’ written bend radius and pulling tensions. • A service loop is to be left on all cables pulled for wireless access points. • All cables shall be neatly bundled throughout the ceiling space. • Splices are not permitted in any cable. • Vendors must comply with established Cabling Color Code Schematic. Cabling must meet all Federal requirements. A certification sheet should be provided for all cabling materials. • All cables shall be supported by cable tray, cable runway, or J-hooks. Cables shall not be supported from ceiling grid wires. Cables shall not run above iron joists.
