The Maine Department of Labor (Department) is seeking applications to implement a Community Workforce Connection Program that offers meaningful peer support and workforce navigation to unemployed and underemployed workers across Maine. This initiative, authorized under Title 26 § 2066, will engage peer navigators employed by community-based organizations (CBOs) to help individuals overcome barriers to employment and successfully connect with the Department’s programs and resources, ultimately supporting greater economic security through sustainable employment. The Department invites qualified community-based organizations to apply for funding to implement peer-based workforce navigation services under the Community Workforce Connections Program.
