1) Buckeye Reflections Finishing to be used, this product may not be substituted. Buckeye Arena 300 Water-based Urethanes: gloss level: (60degrees) 90+, solids 30+1%, density 8.5 lbs/gallon, and VOC <95g/1. 2) Examine existing wood floors scheduled for refinishing and conditions prior to project. PROCESSING WITH THE PROJECT INDICATES ACCEPTING OF SURFACE CONDITIONS. 3) Must apply finish material to a small area to test compatibility. Notify district if new finish appears to be incompatible with the existing finish. 4) Utilizing a scraper or other appropriate tool, remove all gum, tape and similar adhered substances from the floor prior to start of refinishing. 5) Must seal all door openings with tape to prevent infiltration of dirt and debris. 6) Thoroughly clean existing floor, baseboards and under bleachers if applicable, of all loose dirt, dust debris and foreign materials prior to start of refinishing. Special emphasis to corners, under bleachers, and other similar locations where debris may accumulate. 7) Screen cut existing finish using grit screen. Adjust coarseness of screen as required to properly prepare existing finish. Screen until all surface gloss or shiny spots are removed and surface is ready for new finish. Screen as far under bleachers as possible. 8) After screen cutting; vacuum perimeters to remove all dust, dirt, and debris. Tack rag floor with water and let dry. 9) Upon completion of screening and cleaning, the floor, baseboards, etc. shall be free of dust, dirt, debris or foreign materials detrimental to application of floor finish. Surface is ready to receive floor finish. 10) All active embedded floor plates are to completely taped over to prevent finish from filing in threaded recesses, inserts, etc.
