Florida State University (FSU) invites qualified architectural and engineering firms to submit proposals for design services associated with the renovation of the University’s Rovetta Business Buildings A and B. Rovetta Business Buildings A and B total approximately 123,000 gross square feet. Of this total, roughly 46,000 square feet are dedicated to maintenance areas, circulation, restrooms, mechanical spaces, and IT infrastructure. The University Registrar currently utilizes approximately 25,000 square feet for classrooms and teaching laboratories. The College of Business occupies approximately 52,000 square feet within the combined buildings. With the planned relocation of the College of Business to a new facility, Rovetta Buildings A and B will become available for reassignment. This transition presents an opportunity for the University to realign these facilities with institutional priorities—particularly student success initiatives, academic program needs, research collaboration, and enhanced student-support services. The University seeks to take a comprehensive approach to evaluating Rovetta A and B and adjacent “opportunity spaces,” with the goal of developing a long-term space strategy that advances campus functionality, programmatic alignment, and mission-driven outcomes.
