1. This contract provides for: a. The rental, placement, and transportation of roll-off boxes and or roll-off tire cages. b. The disposal, transportation, processing, and recycling of the waste tires which the City generates or collects in their day-to-day operations. c. The processing by reuse, recycling, or burning for energy recovery, and the disposal of any residues from the processing of the waste tires. 2. The waste tires will be a variety of sizes and will include various types such as but not limited to radials, bias ply and tubeless as well as tires on rims. 3. Contractor must provide services to a variety of Departments throughout the entire City of Minneapolis including the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB). 4. Contractor’s location must be within forty (40) miles of Minneapolis to facilitate City or MPRB to deliver normal or extra ordinary tire loads, tire cages or boxes. 5. The ability for the Solid Waste and Recycling Department to use their own vehicles to transport tires to a Metro area drop off site utilizing a gate account to provide for unforeseen volumes or events that necessitate expedited tire removal from various locations within the City to be processed under the above provisions.
