All Law Enforcement Personal Safety Lights provided pursuant to this ITB shall meet or exceed the specifications set forth below. Contractors who intend to bid an equivalent product(s) shall demonstrate the equivalence of the alternate product(s) by providing appropriate catalog materials, literature, specifications, test data, or other reference material, and shall seek approval of each such product through the question-and-answer process for this ITB set out in Section 2.4. The Department shall determine in its sole discretion whether a product is acceptable as an equivalent. Any Law Enforcement Personal Safety Lights must meet or exceed the following specifications: A. Wearable Safety Lights • Infrared hybrid blue/blue; • Professional-grade durability; • 360° lighting providing visibility from all sides; • Multiple flash patterns & brightness levels; • Long-lasting rechargeable battery; • Forward-facing work light; • Lightweight, preferably less than 5 oz.; • Quick & secure built-in Magnet Mounting System; and • Top light emits infrared light being seen with night vision equipment B. Mounting Options • Built-in neodymium rare earth magnet; • Clip Mount snaps around epaulet or vest straps; • Fits straps up to 1.5″ wide and 1/8″ in thickness; • Rubber center grip to prevent strap from slipping; • Rubber base grips for stability; and • Optional hard mounting via 2-M3 x 8mm screws
