It is the intent of these specifications to cover the Services involved with routine mowing of County right-of-way areas for the purpose of controlling growth on shoulders, ditches, back-slopes, and other grassed areas. It is recognized and understood that the prime purpose of grassed shoulders, ditches, and back-slopes is to control erosion, and secondly, to provide a stabilized recovery area. The Contractor is, therefore, responsible for proper procedures to assure the purpose of grassed recovery areas is not jeopardized by his activities. It is a requirement of these specifications that the Services are required be performed in a timely fashion, and that the right-of-way areas are to be kept neat and reasonably clean.
