The Maine Department of Corrections (Department) is seeking a vendor(s) to conduct the required periodic fire alarm and suppression system testing and inspection within Maine DOC facilities as defined in this Request for Proposals (RFP) document. This document provides instructions for submitting proposals, the procedure and criteria by which the awarded Bidder will be selected, and the contractual terms which will govern the relationship between the State of Maine (State) and the awarded Bidder. The Department operates multiple correctional facilities across the state, each of which relies on complex fire suppression and alarm systems to ensure the safety of incarcerated residents, staff, and property. These systems—ranging from wet and dry sprinkler systems to fire pumps and integrated fire/smoke alarms—require regular testing and inspection to remain compliant with life safety codes and to function reliably in emergency situations.
