The Contractor shall accomplish the following deliverables: 4.1.1. Event Staffing and Education 4.1.1.1. Staff assigned to events must be knowledgeable in proper recycling practices to ensure maximum waste diversion. 4.1.1.2. Staff shall engage courteously with the public, providing clear and encouraging information about recycling, including organic waste recycling, to foster long-term sustainable behaviors among attendees. 4.1.1.3. To ensure equitable access for all attendees at large events, the contractor shall provide at least one on-site staff member who is fluent in Spanish, or ensure that all staff are equipped to communicate effectively with attendees using a translation tool such as Google Translate or a similar application. 4.1.1.3.1. The contractor’s ability to facilitate effective translation through technology will cover, at a minimum, the County’s eight threshold languages: Spanish, Arabic, Somali, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese (Mandarin), Tagalog (including Filipino), Persian (including Farsi, Dari). 4.1.1.4. Provide a team of up to six (6) trained staff at each event. 4.1.1.5. Station staff at designated waste collection areas (at twinned Clearstreams) to assist attendees in sorting materials into the correct bins (trash, recycling, and organics) and answer general recycling questions.
